How it works

From enquiry to the day

A consistent process for every list, so patients are assessed early and the setting suits each of them.

Please do not send patient details through this website

Use the referral enquiry form for practice and list details only, or phone 0411 965 272. We will agree a secure way to receive patient information.

  1. Send a referral enquiry or phone

Tell us the facility, proposed dates, expected list length and types of procedure. No patient details at this stage.

  2. Agree how patient information is shared

Patient details and medical history are sent through a secure channel agreed with you, never through the website.

  3. Pre-anaesthetic consultation

Each patient is assessed before the day, usually by phone about 24 to 48 hours beforehand. Concerns about the planned setting are raised with you early.

  4. Consent and fees with the patient

The anaesthetic, its risks and alternatives, and the anaesthetic fee are discussed directly with the patient, or their parent or guardian.

  5. The day and afterwards

Dr Aly is responsible for the anaesthetic or sedation, monitoring and recovery, and communicates any anaesthetic concerns to you.
